CULTIVATING CREATIVITY & COMMUNITY IN SILVERTON & SAN JUAN COUNTY, COLORADO. PROGRAMS AND THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: A.SILVERTON ARTS FESTIVAL: A WEEKEND ARTS FESTIVAL JUNE 17-19 WITH PARTICIPATION BY ~40 ARTISTS. B.SUMMER SOUNDS: A SERIES OF 4 FREE CONCERTS IN THE TOWN ON THE 3RD WEEKENDS OF JUNE THROUGH SEPTEMBER. HAD AN AVERAGE OF 200-250 IN ATTENDANCE. C.FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK: MONTHLY GALLERY ART WALK EVENT ON THE FIRST FRIDAY OF EACH MONTH FROM JUNE THROUGH SEPTEMBER. D.MISTLETOE MARKET: AN EVENING MARKET FOR ~25 LOCAL ARTISTS HELD IN EARLY DECEMBER. E.OTHER ACTIVITIES AND OUTREACH: I. ORGANIZED A CARDBOARD DERBY WORKSHOP FOR KIDS AS PART OF SILVERTON SNOWSCAPE WEEKEND II. ORGANIZED A PUMPKIN DECORATING EVENT AS PART OF AN OCTOBER HARVEST MARKET WITH THE LOCAL POWERHOUSE ARTISTS GROUP. III. BOOTH AT THE LOCAL WEEKLY FARMERS MARKET (JULY THROUGH SEPTEMBER): SCD INFORMATION AND SALES ALONG WITH PARTICIPATION BY SCD MEMBER ARTISTS. IV. PUBLICATION OF AN ARTIST DIRECTORY WITH INFORMATION ON LOCAL GALLERIES AND ARTISTS DISTRIBUTED AROUND TOWN FOR VISITORS.
