Part 3

CENTER FOR INTIMACY JUSTICE (CIJ) RESEARCHED, WROTE, RELEASED AND PUBLICIZED A REPORT ON A MAJOR TECH PLATFORM'S SYSTEMIC REJECTIONS OF ADVERTISEMENTS BENEFITING WOMEN AND PEOPLE WITH VULVAS. THE RESEARCH WAS RELEASED IN THE NEW YORK TIMES AND 80 MEDIA OUTLETS, RAISING ATTENTION TO THIS DISCRIMINATORY PRACTICE THAT IMPACTS HEALTH, ECONOMIC EQUALITY, AND CULTURE TOWARD WOMEN'S SEXUAL HEALTH. CIJ SPOKE WITH THE US SENATE HELP COMMITTEE TO RAISE ATTENTION TO THIS ISSUE, AFTER THE COMMITTEE WROTE AN OPEN LETTER TO MARK ZUCKBERBERG CITING CIJ'S RESEARCH (AND IN RESPONSE TO CIJ'S RESEARCH). CIJ ALSO CREATED A DATABASE IN 2022 OF SEVERAL HUNDRED HEALTH COMPANIES TO CONTINUE RESEARCH AND TO ORGANIZE AND COLLECT ACCOUNTS OF THIS CENSORSHIP - THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA DISCUSSIONS, COMMUNICATIONS TO CIJ, PETITIONS BY OTHER FIELD LEADERS, AND MORE. CIJ RAISED AWARENESS AND WORKED WITH LEADERS IN POSITIONS TO EFFECT CHANGE, ON AN ISSUE THAT PREVIOUSLY HAD NOT SUMMARIZED DATA IN ONE PLACE TO DEMONSTRATE THE DEPTH OF THE DISCRIMINATION CIJ HIGHLIGHTED IN ITS 2021-22 PROGRAM.
