PREA RESOURCE CENTERBEGINNING JUNE 2016, THE ORGANIZATION WAS AWARDED, BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, THE GRANT TO LEAD THE NATIONAL PRISON RAPE ELIMINATION ACT RESOURCE CENTER (PRC). ESTABLISHED THROUGH A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FROM THE BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE, THE PRC SERVES AS THE NATIONAL RESOURCE FOR DIRECT AND ONLINE SUPPORT, TRAINING, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, AND AUDIT SUPPORT TO ASSIST ADULT AND JUVENILE CORRECTIONS, DETENTION, TRIBAL DETENTION, COMMUNITY CONFINEMENT FACILITIES, AND LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSIONALS IN THEIR ONGOING WORK TO ELIMINATE SEXUAL ABUSE AND SEXUAL HARASSMENT IN CONFINEMENT.
IMPACT INNOVATIONSPROJECTS IN IMPACT INNOVATIONS OFFER NEW, GROUNDBREAKING IDEAS TO ACCELERATE JUSTICE SYSTEM CHANGE THROUGH A WIDE RANGE OF PROGRAMMING INCLUDING RESEARCH, DIRECT SERVICE,COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS AND MORE.
RESTORATIVE JUSTICE - RESTORATIVE JUSTICE ENCOURAGES CONSTRUCTIVE RESPONSES TO WRONGDOING. IT BRINGS THOSE WHO HAVE HARMED, THEIR VICTIMS, AND AFFECTED COMMUNITY MEMBERS INTO PROCESSES THAT REPAIR HARMS AND REBUILD RELATIONSHIPS. AT ITS BEST, RESTORATIVE JUSTICE PRODUCES CONSENSUS-BASED PLANS THROUGH FACE-TO-FACE DIALOGUES THAT MEET VICTIM-IDENTIFIED NEEDS WHILE SUPPORTING THE POSITIVE DEVELOPMENT OF THOSE WHO'VE HARMED. THIS CAN TAKE MANY FORMS, MOST NOTABLY COMMUNITY CONFERENCING MODELS AND CIRCLE PROCESSES.
RESEARCH AND ACTION CENTER (FORMERLY COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS)THE RAC PARTNERS WITH COMMUNITY SERVICE PROVIDERS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, AND KEY STAKEHOLDERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO RESEARCH, EVALUATE, AND SUPPORT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MOST EFFECTIVE AND INNOVATIVE PRACTICES.
