THE FIGHT BACK TABLE IS A COALITION OF 70+ GROUPS THAT SEEK TO ADVANCE RACIAL, GENDER, AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE AND TO DELIVER TRUE PROGRESS FOR PEOPLE. THE TABLE FOCUSED ON TWO GOALS IN 2021: 1) EDUCATING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ON THE THREATS TO OUR DEMOCRACY, INCLUDING AN INCREASE IN VOTER SUPPRESSION EFFORTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY, AND 2) PROVIDING AMERICANS WITH INFORMATION REGARDING POLICY PROVISIONS WITHIN PRIORITY BILLS, INCLUDING THE BUILD BACK BETTER ACT.
DEMOCRACY REFORM:VOTING RIGHTS AND DEMOCRACY REFORM WERE TOP PRIORITIES FOR THE MOVEON EDUCATION FUND IN 2021. THE ORGANIZATION INVESTED IN DIGITAL CONTENT TO RAISE AWARENESS OF AN ONGOING CRISIS IN OUR DEMOCRACY, AND PRODUCED A SET OF EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS THAT ILLUMINATE TWO CURRENT FLAWS IN OUR DEMOCRACY: THE FILIBUSTER AND THE RECENT SURGE OF NEW ANTI-VOTING LAWS IN STATES ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
