THE IMPROVEMENT, SUPPORT AND RECOGNITION OF ESTABLISHED AND DEVELOPING INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE (I.B.) PROGRAMS IN THE SCHOOLS OF THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN REGION. THE AIMS AND GOALS ARE AS FOLLOWS: (1) SUPPORT THE ROLE OF THE SCHOOL I.B. COORDINATOR; (2) FACILITATE CONTINUING PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT,CURRICULUM IMPROVEMENT AND CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION; (3) PROVIDE A NETWORK FOR COLLABORATION AMONG PROFESSIONAL STAFF OF I.B. PROGRAMS; (4) SERVE AS A CLEARINGHOUSE FOR IDEAS AND MATERIALS RELATING TO I.B. CURRICULUM; (5)PROVIDE PUBLICITY OF I.B. PROGRAMS AND ACHIEVEMENTS OF I.B. STUDENTS WITHIN THE REGION; (6) SUPPORT PROGRAMS THAT ENCOURAGE INTERACTION BETWEEN I.B. STUDENTS FROM THE REGION; (7) PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR DEVELOPING I.B. PROGRAMS WITHIN THE REGION; (8) FOSTER RECOGNITION AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE I.B. PROGRAM BY NORTH AMERICAN UNIVERSITIIES AND COLLEGES; AND (9) PROVIDE EDUCATION OF I.B. PROGRAMS FOR SCHOOLS, DISTRICTS, UNIVERSITIES AND STATE AGENCIES.
