BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM - PROVIDES STATE-LICENSED BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE FOR CHILDREN AGES 5 THROUGH 12; PROVIDES FULL-TIME CARE DURING SUMMER MONTHS. CLASSROOM GRANTS PROGRAM - PROVIDES FUNDING TO SUPPORT INNOVATIVE IDEAS AND PROJECTS AT THE CLASSROOM LEVEL. SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM - PROVIDES FOR THE FUNDING, SELECTION AND DISTRIBUTION OF STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS.

THE ELKHORN PUBLIC SCHOOL FOUNDATION THROUGH ITS ELKHORN KIDS CAMPUS PROGRAM PROVIDES STATE-LICENSED CHILD CARE SERVICES AWAY FROM HOME FOR OVER 1,000 SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN GRADES KINDERGARTEN THROUGH EIGHTH GRADE BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL HOURS IN ORDER TO ENABLE INDIVIDUALS TO BE GAINFULLY EMPLOYED. CHILD CARE SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR AND ALSO DURING THE SUMMER. EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES SUCH AS SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS, ARTS AND CRAFTS, FUN WITH FOOD AND PHYSICAL RECREATION ARE INCORPORATED INTO THE ELKHORN KIDS CAMPUS PROGRAM.
THE ELKHORN PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOUNDATION FUNDS AND ADMINISTERS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GRADUATING SENIORS AT 2 ELKHORN HIGH SCHOOLS. SCHOLARSHIPS RECOGNIZE STUDENTS FOR OUTSTANDING ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, ATHLETIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS, LEADERSHIP POTENTIAL, COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AND GOOD CHARACTER.
THE ELKHORN PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOUNDATION PROVIDES FUNDING TO TEACHERS TO OFFSET TUITION FOR COLLEGE CLASSES TAKEN DURING THE CALENDAR YEAR. UPON RECEIPT OF TEACHERS' TRANSCRIPTS, THEY ARE REIMBURSED $300 FOR THE YEAR IN WHICH THE CLASS WAS TAKEN. TEACHER ASSISTANTS ARE REIMBURSED $200 PER CALENDAR YEAR. THE FOUNDATION REIMBURSED 127 TEACHERS/TEACHERS ASSISTANTS DURING 2021.
