OUR MISSION IS TO PROMOTE HEALTHY, VIBRANT NEIGHBORHOODS AND SERVE AS A FIRST CHOICE FOR HOMEBUYER RESOURCES IN SOUTHERN COLORADO. WE HAVE FOUR PILLARS: EDUCATE, BUILD, LEND, AND ENGAGE, THAT GUIDE US IN EVERYTHING WE DO. OUR HUD-CERTIFIED HOUSING COUNSELORS PROVIDE EDUCATION TO HOMEBUYERS THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS OF PURCHASING A HOME AND ALSO PROVIDE FINANCIAL FITNESS CLASSES AND RENTAL EDUCATION AS WELL AS FORECLOSURE EDUCATION. WE ARE BUILDING HYDE PARK GARDENS, A SMALL SUBDIVISION ON PUEBLO'S WEST SIDE, AND WILL BEGIN CONSTRUCTION ON PIKES PEAK PARK, A LARGER SUBDIVISION ON PUEBLO'S WEST SIDE, THIS YEAR. OUR LENDING ARM, SOUTHERN COLORADO COMMUNITY LENDING, OFFERS MORTGAGES, REHAB LOANS, AND BUSINESS LOANS. WE ENGAGE OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH MANY ACTIVITIES INCLUDING A COMMUNITY GARDEN AND THE BESSEMER FOOD PANTRY THAT PROVIDES FOOD TO THOSE IN NEED.
