THE DOTSON CABIN IS A HISTORIC CABIN THAT WAS SCHEDULED FOR DEMOLITIAN. OUR NON-PROFIT SAVED THE CABIN BY DISMANTLING IT AND RECONSTRUCTING IT ON DONATED PROPERTY. THE CABIN IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ON WEEKENDS FOR TOURS OF THE CABIN AND ITS HISTORIC IMPORTANCE TO LOCAL HISTORY. WE HAVE DISPLAYS THAT ARE ROTATED REGULARLY. AND WE OFFER PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS AND STUDENTS WHO LEARN ABOUT THE HISTORY OF SOUTHERN COLORADO, THE WAYS OF PAST INHABITANTS, WITH AN EMPHASIS ON PRESERVING LOCAL HISTORY.
