TALENT SEARCH - IN OUR FIFTH OPERATIONAL YEAR, COLLEGE BRIDGE CAFE HAS BROADENED ITS REACH, CATERING TO MORE THAN 1700 PARTICIPANTS ACROSS 10 PUBLIC SCHOOLS. ADDITIONALLY, OUR EXPANDING NETWORK OF PARTNERS EMPOWERS US TO EXTEND OUR IMPACT FURTHER BY PROVIDING CAREER-ORIENTED EDUCATIONAL COUNSELING,MENTORING, AND REFERRAL SERVICES. THIS ENABLES US TO CONNECT WITH A GROWING NUMBER OF YOUNG INDIVIDUALS AND ADULTS, FACILITATING THEIR ACCESS TO COLLEGE AND VARIOUS POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES. THROUGH OUR TRIO FEDERAL DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TALENT SEARCH GRANT, WE ARE SERVING 500 STUDENTS 4 BRONX PUBLIC SCHOOLS EXPANDING THEIR ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION.
GEAR UP - IN THE CURRENT YEAR, WE RECEIVED A GRANT FROM NEW YORK STATE GEAR UP (GAINING EARLY AWARENESS AND READINESS FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS) TO SUPPORT A COHORT OF 600 STUDENTS ACROSS FOUR MIDDLE SCHOOLS IN THE BRONX AND MANHATAN. OVER THE NEXT SIX YEARS, WE ARE COMMITED TO DELIVERING COLLEGE AND CAREER AWARENESS SERVICES, ACTIVITIES, WORKSHOPS, AND PROVIDING ENRICHING EXPERIENCES TO SUPPORT THESE STUDENTS UNTIL THEIR HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION.
