THE MISSION OF THE WEST SHORE THEATRE IS TO PRESENT AND PROVIDE A FORUM FOR CINEMA, MUSIC AND RELATED CULTURAL ACTIVITIES IN THE RESTORED WEST SHORE THEATRE. THE REDEVELOPMENT INCLUDES RESTORING THE EXISTING ORIGINAL THEATRE TO ITS ORIGINAL LOOK.

CURRENTLY IN THE 2020.2021 FISCAL YEAR THE FOTWST HAD FINAL DESIGN PLANS IN PLACE, SUBMITTED THE DESIGN PLANS AND AWARDED THE BIDS FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE THEATRE. THE FOTWST OFFICIALLY OPENED THEIR DOORS AT THE BEGINNING OF MAY WITH A SOFT OPENING. AT THE END OF MAY THE FOTWST PROMOTED IN PARTERNSHIP WITH VICKIES ANGEL FOUNDATION FOR A FUND RAISER AND HAS WORKED WITH OTHER NON-PROFIT ENTITIES TO HELP THEM RAISE FUNDS. THE GOAL OF THE FOTWST IS TO BE THE FOCAL HUB OF THE DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION AREA OF NEW CUMBERLAND AND TO PROVIDE QUALITY THEATRE, ARTS, AND OTHER LIVE ENTERTAINMENT TO THE COMMUNITY.
