TO BRING INQUIRY TO EVERY STUDENT, EVERYWHERE. WE ARE BUILDING AN SEL (SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING) PROGRAM ROOTED IN THE STUDY OF THOUGHT THAT INSPIRES CREATIVITY, CURIOSITY, ETHICS AND RESILIENCE.

DURING FY 2021, APPROXIMATELY 400 MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN 12 MINDFULNESS LESSONS, 6 EMOTIONAL AWARENESS LESSONS, 6 PERSPECTIVE-TAKING LESSONS, AND 2 INQUIRY-LESSONS TAUGHT WEEKLY BY 6 TEACHERS AT OUR PARTNER SCHOOL. THIS WAS THE FIRST YEAR THAT STUDENTS AND TEACHERS WERE IN AN IN- PERSON CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT SINCE COVID-19.


WE WORKED WITH OUR INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN DEVELOPERS TO BUILD AND PILOT THE FIRST VERSION OF OUR ONLINE LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS) AND THEN BUILD THE SECOND VERSION OF OUR LMS. OUR LMS HOLDS ALL OF OUR CURRICULA AND ALSO HOSTS OUR ONLINE ORIENTATION FOR TEACHERS.
