THE GARDEN FEATURES 46 INDIVIDUAL PLOTS, INCLUDING ONE LARGE VERTICAL PLOT DEDICATED TO FOOD GROWN FOR THE COMMUNITY AND FOOD PANTRY, AND A TEACHING PLOT FOCUSED ON EDUCATIONAL GARDENING. SURROUNDING THESE AREAS, THE ENTIRE PERIPHERAL GARDEN IS DESIGNED FOR FOOD PRODUCTION WHILE ALSO NOURISHING AND STABILIZING THE SOIL. THIS DESIGN ENCOURAGES POLLINATORS-SUCH AS BEES, BIRDS, BUTTERFLIES, AND BENEFICIAL INSECTS-WHICH ENHANCES THE VEGETABLE YIELD IN EACH PLOT.
