FOOD RESCUE PROGRAM - THE FOOD RESCUE PROGRAM COLLECTS, SORTS AND DISTRIBUTES APPROXIMATELY 4,000 POUNDS OF FRESH, NUTRITIOUS FOOD PER DAY THAT WOULD OTHERWISE BE WASTED. IN 2021, THE PROGRAM RESCUED 1.4 MILLION POUNDS OF HIGH-QUALITY FOOD, DISTRIBUTING IT TO 84 COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT GREATER BOSTON, INCLUDING FOOD PANTRIES, LOW-INCOME HOUSING, AND SHELTERS.
