HEALTH SOLUTIONS CREATES IN-STORE HEALTH CARE CLINICS AND WRAP AROUND NUTRITION SERVICES. 500 HEALTH SCREENINGS CONDUCTED THIS YEAR. SUSTAINABLE FOOD SOLUTIONS CREATES NEW SUPERMARKETS, TURN AROUND EXISTING SUPERMARKETS THAT MAY BE IN DANGER OF FAILING, AND WORKS ON FOOD RECOVERY SYSTEMS. NEW STORE IN WATERLOO, IOWA AND A TURN AROUND IN NEW ORLEANS.WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS WAS CREATED IN EARLY 2017 AND TRAINS RE-ENTERING CITIZENS TO WORK IN THE SUPERMARKET INDUSTRY. 396 STUDENTS TRAINED AND PLACED IN SUPERMARKET ENTRY JOBS. THESE PROGRAM AREAS ARE INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT AND THEY ALL START LEVERAGING SUPERMARKETS AS A POINT OF ACCESS. IN 2018, THE COMPANY LAUNCHED PHILLY FOOD RESCUE. THE PROGRAM WAS FIRST INTRODUCED IN PITTSBURGH, PA UNDER 412 FOOD RESCUE, SUPPORTED BY UBER, AND THROUGH A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING UPLIFT WILL REPLICATE THE PROGRAM IN PHILADELPHIA. THE PROGRAM HAS TWO COMPONENTS, RECURRING, PREARRANGED SURPLUS FOOD PICK-UPS, AND ON-DEMAND FOOD PICK-UPS (RESCUES). UPLIFT WILL UTILIZE THE FOOD RESCUE HERO APPLICATION TO COORDINATE AND TRACK FOOD RESCUES.
