FOOD FOR EDUCATION FOUNDATION INC. SUPPORTS SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM (SFP) ACTIVITIES - SPECIFICALLY WITH THE GOAL OF PROVIDING AFFORDABLE, NUTRITIOUS MEALS TO STUDENTS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT KENYA AND ANY OTHER COUNTRY WITHIN THE CONTINENT OF AFRICA.

WE USE A SIMPLE SOLUTION - A DAILY, NUTRITIOUS, AFFORDABLE SCHOOL MEAL - TO ENSURE NO CHILD HAS TO LEARN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH. WE ARE THE FIRST SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM IN AFRICA TO CREATE IMPACT FOR CHILDREN SUSTAINABLY AND AT SCALE, AND WE ARE CREATING A MODEL OF EXCELLENCE FOR SCHOOL FEEDING THAT CAN BE REPLICATED ACROSS AFRICA. WE HAVE MOVED FROM SERVING 1 MILLION MEALS EVERY YEAR TO NOW SERVING OVER 1 MILLION MEALS EVERY MONTH. WE'VE ACHIEVED THIS BY FOCUSING ON 4 MAJOR COMPONENTS OF SCHOOL FEEDING: LOCAL SOURCING, FINANCING, DISTRIBUTION, AND NUTRITION. FOOD FOR EDUCATION FEEDS CHILDREN THROUGH A COMBINATION OF DIRECT SERVICE DELIVERY VIA CENTRAL KITCHENS ACROSS KENYA AND INNOVATIVE GOVERNMENT PARTNERSHIPS.
FOOD FOR EDUCATION FOUNDATION INC. SUPPORTS SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM (SFP) ACTIVITIES - SPECIFICALLY WITH THE GOAL OF PROVIDING AFFORDABLE, NUTRITIOUS MEALS TO STUDENTS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT KENYA AND ANY OTHER COUNTRY WITHIN THE CONTINENT OF AFRICA. THIS WORK IS ACCOMPLISHED BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE CONDUCTING THAT DIRECT WORK IN THOSE COUNTRIES. THE GRANTS PROVIDED BY THE ORGANIZATION ARE USED TO BUILD KITCHENS, BUY INGREDIENTS, PREPARE FOOD, DELIVER AND SERVE MEALS, CONDUCT MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION, DEVELOP TECHNOLOGIES TO MAKE MEAL SERVICE MORE EFFECTIVE, AS WELL AS TO PROVIDE GENERAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT. THROUGH THE GRANT ASSISTANCE PROVIDED BY THE ORGANIZATION, OVER 14 MILLION MEALS WERE PREPARED AND SERVED TO CHILDREN THROUGHOUT KENYA IN THE PAST YEAR.
