IN 2021, THE BONNER COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PUT OUT AN RFP TO CONDUCT AN ECONOMIC STRATEGIC PLAN FOR BONNER COUNTY. THIS WAS SPONSORED BY THE CITY OF SANDPOINT AND HOSTED BY BCEDC. THE RFP WAS AWARDED AND THE CONSULTANT COMPLETED THE RESEARCH, OUTREACH, AND DELIVERABLES IN 2021. STRATEGIC PLANNING WORKSHOPS WERE SCHEDULED FOR EARLY 2022 WHICH WOULD RESULT IN A FINALIZED BONNER COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLETE WITH CORE PRINCIPLES, FOCUS, AND DEVELOPED STRATEGIC PRIORITIES, INITIATIVES, AND ACTION ITEMS. IN 2021, BCEDC FINALIZED IT'S OUTREACH PROGRAM FOR BUSINESS OWNERS AFFECTED BY COVID-19 AND PROVIDED OVER 80K (2020-2021) IN COLLABORATION FUNDING TO ASSIST BUSINESS LOOKING TO PIVOT THEIR BUSINESS MODELS, BROADEN THEIR MARKET, OR OTHER FACTORS THAT MAY HAVE DISRUPTED THEIR BUSINESS DUE TO COVID EFFECTS ON THE ECONOMY.
