THE MAJORITY OF OUR AID GOES TO PREVENTING HOMELESSNESS. IN 2019 WE ASSISTED 30 SEVERELY ILL ME/CFS PATIENTS KEEP THEIR HOMES THROUGH DIRECT PAYMENT OF RENT AND OTHER ASSOCIATED COSTS. WE ALSO HELPED PATIENTS PAY UTILITY AND WATER BILLS, AND PREVENTED SHUT-OFFS. AN ADDITION, SOME PATIENTS NEEDED HELP WITH FOOD AND PERSONAL ITEMS. WE PAID FOR MEDICAL EXPENSES, COPAYS, AND DENTAL PROCEDURES. MANY PEOPLE APPLYING TO THE FINANCIAL CRISIS FUND NEEDED TRANSPORTATION. WE HELPED PAY COSTS TO MAINTAIN AND REPAIR VEHICLES AND FOR OTHER TRANSPORTATION EXPENSES. IN ADDITION TO THESE EXPENSES WE ALSO PAID FOR CLOTHING, KITCHEN EQUIPMENT, CLEANING SUPPLIES, PERSONAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS, AND REPAIRS.
