ACTIVITIES THAT TOOK PLACE FROM JULY 2021 - JUNE 2022 INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: NIHD CONTINUES AS AN EVIDENCE-BASED DESIGN ACCREDITATION AND CERTIFICATION (EDAC) ADVOCATE ORGANIZATION WITH THE CENTER FOR HEALTH DESIGN. WE ARE ENCOURAGING OUR MEMBERS TO USE THE EVIDENCE-BASED DESIGN PROCESS INTO THEIR PROJECTS BY BECOMING EDAC CERTIFIED. NIHD SPONSORED THE 2ND INTERNATIONAL 2021 NURSING CONFERENCE FOR EXCELLENCE IN HEALTHCARE DESIGN: LOCAL TO GLOBAL RESEARCH, DESIGN AND SOLUTIONS. THIS VIRTUAL CONFERENCE IN JULY 2021 CONSISTED OF THREE LIVE KEYNOTE SESSIONS, THREE LIVE PANELS AND 40+ PRE-RECORDED SESSIONS THAT PARTICIPANTS COULD LISTEN TO AT THEIR OWN PACE. IN SEPTEMBER 2021, NIHD PRESENTED A WEBINAR IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ASSOCIATION OF MEDICAL FACILITY PROFESSIONALS, NYC CHAPTER AND WOMEN IN HEALTHCARE, NY METRO CHAPTER. THE PANEL TITLED HEALTHCARE DESIGN WITH THE CLINICIAN IN MIND - WHAT DO THEY NEED? WAS MODERATED BY NIHD BOARD MEMBER ANTHONY MISTRETTA. NIHD'S PARTNERSHIP WITH EMERALD EXPOSITIONS AND THE HEALTHCARE DESIGN CONFERENCE + EXPO CONTINUES. IN 2021, WE PARTNERED TO SELECT 9 SESSIONS AND 1 WORKSHOP FOR THE CLINICAL PERSPECTIVES TRACK, OFFERING RN CEUS TO ATTENDEES AT THE OCTOBER CONFERENCE IN CLEVELAND, OH.NIHD SPONSORED 4 GRADUATE NURSING STUDENTS FROM LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY (LSU) TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CHALLENGE AT PDC SUMMIT STUDENT CHALLENGE IN MARCH 2022. THIS EVENT WAS HELD IN NEW ORLEANS, LA.7 WEBINARS WERE HOSTED AND RECORDED BETWEEN JULY 1, 2021 - JUNE 30, 2022. THESE RECORDINGS ARE MADE AVAILABLE TO ALL MEMBERS IN THE ONLINE WEBINAR ARCHIVE. WE CONTINUED TO SEND OUR MONTHLY NEWSLETTER. THESE ARE MADE AVAILABLE TO ALL MEMBERS IN THE NEWSLETTER ARCHIVE. THE NIHD BLOG CONTINUES TO BE A PLACE FOR THE LATEST NIHD AND INDUSTRY NEWS, MEMBER SPOTLIGHTS, NEW PARTNERSHIPS AND MORE. THE BOARD INSTITUTED THE "ADMIN OF THE MONTH" PROGRAM. EVERY MONTH A DIFFERENT BOARD MEMBER ASSUMES A VARIETY OF ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING TO IDENTIFY A MEMBER TO "SPOTLIGHT", SECURING A BLOG AUTHOR, AND OTHER TASKS ASSOCIATED WITH OUR LINKEDIN PAGE. THE PROGRAM IS ACCOMPLISHING ITS INTENT TO ENHANCE OUR QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF COMMUNICATIONS TO MEMBERS AND OTHERS. OUR MEMBER RENEWAL PERIOD TOOK PLACE IN JANUARY 2022 - FEBRUARY 2022. WE HAD THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL IN NIHD HISTORY.WE WELCOMED 68 NEW MEMBERS BETWEEN JULY 1, 2021 - JUNE 30, 2022.OUR MEMBERS VOLUNTEERED ON VARIES TASK FORCES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR INCLUDING INVOLVEMENT IN THE ABSTRACT REVIEW PROCESS FOR HCD, PLANNING AND EXECUTING THE HCD WORKSHOP, ENGAGING IN MEMBER SURVEYS, AND MUCH MORE. THE NEW MEMBER TASK FORCE CONTINUE THE VIRTUAL MEMBER CONNECT INITIATIVE, HOLDING 4 EVENTS PER YEAR.OUR NEW COFFEE SERIES KICKED OFF IN AUGUST 2021. MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO FILL A CUP OF COFFEE OR TEA AND JOIN OTHER NIHD MEMBERS FOR DISCUSSIONS ON A TOPIC, LED BY AN NIHD TOPIC EXPERT. OUR ANNUAL MEMBER MEETING WAS HELD VIRTUALLY ON NOVEMBER 18, 2021. THE MEETING WAS LED BY NIHD PRESIDENT, ERIN CLARK, WHERE SHE PRESENTED UPDATES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS. ATTENDEES THEN BROKE INTO SMALLER GROUPS TO SOCIALIZE.THE NIHD BOARD HELD ITS ANNUAL PLANNING RETREAT ON APRIL 28 - MAY 1, 2022, IN PERSON FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2019. WE ARE GRATEFUL TO OUR HOST, INTERFACE AMERICAS, INC, WHO OPENED THEIR DOORS AND PROVIDED THE VENUE FOR OUR BOARD MEMBERS TO USE THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND.
