REPRESENTATION MAPE REPRESENTS ITS MEMBERS WITH RESPECT TO ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT, PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF ITS MEMBERSHIP, AND WORKS TO ADVANCE THE INTERESTS OF ALL GOVERNMENTAL EMPLOYEES. 14 BUSINESS AGENTS CARRY OUT THE CONTRACT ENFORCEMENT AND EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS ACTIVITY ON BEHALF OF 15,292 STATE OF MINNESOTA EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED PLUS 55 OTHER MEMBERS EMPLOYED BY CITIES AND SCHOOL DISTRICTS. THEY WORK WITH STEWARDS AND LOCAL LEADERS TO REPRESENT MEMBERS IN GRIEVANCE CASES, MEET AND CONFER WITH STATE AGENCY EMPLOYERS, NEGOTIATE SETTLEMENTS AND MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING, SHARE INFORMATION AT LOCAL UNION MEETINGS AND SUPPORT MAPES LEGISLATIVE, POLITICAL, AND / OR ISSUES CAMPAIGN WORK AS NEEDED.
