REPRESENTATIONAL MAPE REPRESENTS ITS WITH RESPECT TO ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT, PROMOTES THE WELFARE OF ITS MEMBERSHIP, AND WORKS TO ADVANCE THE INTERESTS OF ALL GOVERNMENTAL EMPLOYEES. 14 BUSINESS AGENTS CARRY OUT THE CONTRACT ENFORCEMENT AND EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS ACTIVITY ON BEHALF OF 16,025 STATE OF MINNESOTA EMPLOYEES PLUS 57 EMPLOYEES OF CITIES, COUNTIES OR SCHOOL DISTRICTS. THEY WORK WITH STEWARDS AND LOCAL LEADERS TO REPRESENT MEMBERS GRIEVANCE CASES, MEET AND CONFER WITH STATE AGENCY EMPLOYERS, NEGOTIATE SETTLEMENTS AND MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING, SHARE INFORMATION AT LOCAL UNION MEETINGS AND SUPPORT MAPES LEGISLATIVE, POLITICAL AND OR ISSUES CAMPAIGN WORK AS NEEDED.
