CCCIL'S PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE INDEPENDENCE OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES BY SUPPORTING THEIR EQUAL AND FULL PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY LIFE. CCCIL PROVIDES ADVOCACY, EDUCATION AND SUPPORT TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, THEIR FAMILIES AND THE COMMUNITY. THE INEPENDENT LIVING PROGRAM IS DIVIDED INTO THREE PROGRAMS BY COUNTY: MONTEREY, SANTA CRUZ AND SAN BENITO. THESE INDEPENDENT LIVING PROGRAMS PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING SERVICES TO PEOPLE IWTH DISABILITIES: INFORMATION AND REFERRAL, BENEFITS CONSULTING, HOUSING ASSISTANCE, TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE, PEER SUPPORT, PERSONAL ASSISTANCE SERVICE, INDEPNDENT LIVING SKILLS TRAINING, SYSTEMS ADVOCACY AND ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT.
