KCVB PROVIDES SERVICES TO BRING TOURISM AND CONVENTIONS TO THE CITY OF KERRVILLE. KCVB PROMOTES THE CITY BY USE OF ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONS THROUGH VARIOUS MEDIA PLATFORMS. KCVB ALSO PROVIDES ASSISTANCE WITH CONNECTING INTERESTED PARTIES TO AVAILABLE RESOURCES IN THE CITY. KCVB SUPPORTS AND PROMOTES EVENTS IN THE AREA TO BRING ATTENTION TO OPPORTUNITIES FOR VISITORS TO THE CITY OF KERRVILLE, WHETHER TOURISTS OR CONVENTION ATTENDEES.
KCVB RUNS A VISITOR CENTER THAT IS OPEN SEVEN DAYS A WEEK TO PROVIDE VISITORS WITH INFORMATION ON THE AREA'S ATTRACTIONS, LODGINGS, MAPS AND OTHER ITEMS RELEVANT TO TOURISM.
KCVB WAS DELEGATED CONTROL OF THE ART COMMITTEE FUNDS IN 2013 WHICH IS ALSO FUNDED FROM "HOTEL OCCUPANCY TAXES". THESE FUNDS ARE USED TO PROMOTE "ART ACTIVITIES" IN THE KERRVILLE AREA.
KCVB ESTABLISHED A SEPARATE FUND IN 2015 TO PROMOTE KERRVILLE-SCHREINER PARK AND THE SCOTT SCHREINER GOLF COURSE. THESE PROMOTIONAL EXPENDITURES WILL ALSO BE FUNDED BY "HOTEL OCCUPANCY TAXES". ALSO FROM TIME TO TIME, KCVB PERFORMS VARIOUS OTHER SPECIAL EVENT ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS SOUVENIR SALES AND MISCELLANEOUS ACTIVITIES. MONIES FROM THESE ACTIVITIES ARE MAINTAINED IN THE "SPECIAL ACCOUNT- AND ARE CONSIDERED UNASSIGNED FUNDS.
