THE DENVER RAIL HERITAGE SOCIETY'S PRIMARY MISSION IS PUBLIC EDUCATION REGARDING DENVER'S TRANSIT HISTORY. WE OPERATE A HERITAGE TROLLEY ALONG THE PLATTE RIVER CORRIDOR TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC OF THE ROLE THAT TRANSIT PLAYED IN DENVER'S EARLY DEVELOPMENT. THE DRHS HAS 65 MEMBERS INCLUDING 20+ ACTIVE MEMBER VOLUNTEERS PERFORMING EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE AND TROLLEY OPERATIONS. WE ANNUALLY LOG >500 HOURS OF VOLUNTEER SERVICE TO OUR DENVER TROLLEY. THESE VOLUNTEERS MAINTAIN OUR TROLLEY AND INFRASTRUCTURE, PERFORM COMMUNITY OUTREACH, AND OPERATE THE TROLLEY DURING OUR SEASON. ANNUAL 2022 RIDERSHIP WAS >17,000 INDIVIDUALS.
