THE LAKEWOOD ARTS COUNCIL OPERATES A CO-OP GALLERY EXHIBITING THE WORK OF 39 ARTISTS. IN ADDITION, WE SPONSOR ART SHOWS AT OUR ACORN GALLERY EVERY MONTH. WE PROVIDE NUMEROUS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, VISUAL ARTS CRITIQUES, WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES AT OUR FACILITY - PRIMARILY FOR ADULTS AND SENIORS. WE ALSO SPONSOR AND ORGANIZE MONTHLY SOCIAL EVENTS FOR THE COMMUNITY THE FIRST FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH. WE PARTNER WITH THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD ART PROGRAMS (ANNUAL ALL-COLORADO ART EXHIBIT AT THE CULTURAL CENTER; STUDENT'S ART EXHIBIT AT OUR FACILITY) AND PROMOTE CITY PERFORMANCE EVENTS IN OUR PUBLICATIONS AND FLYERS (LOCATED AT OUR FACILITY). IN ADDITION, WE PARTICIPATE IN LAKEWOOD'S ANNUAL INSPIRE WEEK, PROVIDING FREE CLASSES AND ART WORKSHOPS. ALSO, WE PARTICIPATE WITH 40 WEST ARTS DISTRICT IN THEIR ANNUAL COLFAX ART SHOW. WE CONDUCT OPEN STUDIO SESSIONS EVERY FRIDAY AND HOLD AN ANNUAL GARDEN TOURS OF LOCAL GARDENS IN THE COMMUNITY.
