OSMA'S VISION IS TO BE THE LEADING VOICE IN HEALTH CARE FOR OKLAHOMA'S PATIENTS, FAMILIES AND PHYSICIANS. OSMA'S MISSION IS BETTER HEALTH FOR OKLAHOMA.

MEMBER SERVICES: OSMA IS THE LEADING RESOURCE FOR RESOURCES TO HELP PHYSICIANS SUSTAIN THEIR PRACTICES AND PROMOTE PUBLIC HEALTH IN OKLAHOMA. THE ORGANIZATION HAS EXPANDED ITS OFFERINGS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAMS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF PHYSICIANS, WHO MUST COMPLETE SUCH PROGRAMS TO MAINTAIN THEIR MEDICAL LICENSES. OUR PHYSICIANS CAMPAIGN FOR A HEALTHIER OKLAHOMA SUPPORTS EFFORTS TO COMBAT THE EFFECTS OF OBESITY IN THE STATE AND PROVIDES RESOURCES TO OKLAHOMA PHYSICIAN PRACTICES TO PROMOTE PUBLIC HEALTH. THE ASSOCIATION OPERATES VARIOUS COUNCILS AND COMMITTEES THAT WORK WITH SPECIFIC POPULATIONS OF ITS MEMBERSHIP TO HELP ADDRESS THEIR UNIQUE PRACTICE NEEDS. OSMA OFFERS A VARIETY OF RESOURCES FOR PHYSICIANS WITH MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS OR THOSE BATTLING SUBSTANCE ABUSE ISSUES.


PUBLICATIONS


LEGISLATIVE: OSMA LAUNCHED A SIGNIFICANT PUBLIC RELATIONS AND POLITICAL CAMPAIGN AIMED AT CREATING A PRO-MEDICINE AND PRO-SCIENCE ENVIRONMENT AMONG OKLAHOMA'S POLITICAL LEADERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THIS EFFORT INCLUDED SIGNIFICANT INVOLVEMENT WITH INDEPENDENT EXPENDITURES DURING THE 2022 ELECTION CYCLE, PUBLIC RELATIONS MEDIA CAMPAIGNS AND ADVOCACY EFFORTS AT THE STATE CAPITOL.


PUBLIC HEALTH ADVOCACY: OSMA SUPPORTS PROGRAMS SUCH AS COUNCIL ON PUBLIC AND MENTAL HEALTH AND PHYSICIANS CAMPAIGN FOR A HEALTHIER OKLAHOMA.
