IN 2023 THE MARIN AMATEUR RADIO SOCIETY HELD 11 REGULAR MONTHLY MEETINGS. WE UPGRADED ANTENNA SYSTEMS AT 3 OF OUR REPEATER SITES. WE HELD 2 LICENSING EXAMS: IN JANUARY 2 TECHNICIANS, 2 GENERALS, 2 EXTRAS PASSED THEIR TESTS. IN APRIL 4 TECHNICIANS, 5 GENERALS, 1 EXTRA PASSED THEIR TESTS. THE CLUB ORGANIZED COMMUNICATIONS AND PROVIDED VOLUNTEERS FOR THE MIWOK 100, MSBC JANE FONDO, THE DIPSEA RACE, MSBC DIRT FONDO, FIELD DAY, DIPSEA BREAST CANCER HIKE, MSBC ADVENTURE REVIVAL, BREAST CANCER PREVENTION PEAK HIKE, AND DOLPHIN CLUB ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ. WE CONDUCTED 8 NORTH BAY 2 METER CRITICAL MASS TRAINING SESSIONS. WE ALSO STARTED A NEW INITIATIVE TO IMPROVE ACCESS AND AWARENESS OF DIGITAL MOBILE RADIO A RELATIVELY NEW DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IN SUPPORT OF THIS WE CONDUCTED WORKSHOPS TO EDUCATE MEMBERS IN DMR TECHNOLOGY AND TESTED IT DURING PUBLIC SERVICE EVENTS. ALSO ESTABLISHED A CLUB DMR NET ON TUESDAY NIGHTS AT 6:45 PM ON NORCAL TALK GROUP.
