HEAD START CHILD DEVELOPMENT SERVICES FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES AND FAMILIES WITH DISABLED CHILDREN. HEAD START PROGRAMS ARE ADMINISTERED IN MULTIPLE LOCATIONS SERVING APPROXIMATELY 230 CHILDREN.
LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE GRANTED TO OVER A THOUSAND LOW INCOME FAMILIES.
THE COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT SERVICE PROVIDES LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVING THEIR LIVES. THESE OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH FOUR NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE CENTERS IN A FOUR COUNTY REGION OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE. PROGRAMS PROVIDED DURING THE YEAR INCLUDED EMERGENCY SERVICES, NUTRITION, AND LINKAGES.
