THE MISSION OF HOLIDAY HEROES IS TO PROVIDE JOY AND ENTERTAINMENT TO HOSPITALIZED CHILDREN WHO ARE BATTLING LIFE THREATENING ILLNESSES BY HOSTING THEMED PARTIES AND BEDSIDE VISITS. HOLIDAY HEROES HOSPITAL PARTIES AND DAYS OF PLAY TAKE A CHILD'S MIND AWAY FROM THE PAIN, ANXIETY AND STRESSES OF BEING HOSPITALIZED.

WE DELIVERED AGE SPECIFIC THEMED ACTIVITY BOXES TO OUR HOSPITAL PARTNERS FOR OVER 2,500 CHILDREN/PATIENTS. WE ALSO OFFERED VIRTUAL VISITS WITH A COSTUMED CHARACTER TO PATIENTS WHILE CHILD LIFE SPECIALISTS PASSED OUR ACTIVITY BOXES OUT TO THE CHILDREN/PATIENTS. NO ONE WANTS TO BE IN THE HOSPITAL, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN. IT'S STRESSFUL, SCARY AND ISOLATING FOR THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES. FOR HOSPITALIZED CHILDREN, A LITTLE FUN MAKES A BIG IMPACT! ACTIVITIES AND PLAY TAKE A CHILD'S MIND AWAY FROM THE PAIN, ANXIETY AND STRESSES OF BEING HOSPITALIZED. IT ENCOURAGES HEALTHY SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT,EVEN UNDER THE CONTRAINTS OF COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS, AND BETTER RECOVERY FROM ILLNESS.
