THE MISSION OF THE COUNCIL IS TO CREATE AWARENESS IN OUR COMMUNITIES ABOUT THE VALUE OF URBAN FORESTRY AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING AND ACTION FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING OUR QUALITY OF LIFE AND SHARED LANDSCAPE.

THE ORGANIZATION HAS A FOREST AWARENESS CAMPAIGN, KY ROOST, TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON WHY TREES ARE IMPORTANT AND HOW TO CARE FOR THEM. THE ORGANIZATION HAS REACHED THE PUBLIC THROUGH SPONSORSHIP AT EVENTS, ADS, AND THROUGH A DEDICATED WEBSITE (KYROOTS.ORG). THE WEBSITE WAS DEVELOPED TO BE IS A USEFUL RESOURCE FOR THE PUBLIC ON PLANTING AND CARING FOR TREES. THE ORGANIZATION HOLDS AN ANNUAL EVENT REFOREST NORTHERN KY. IT IS AN ALL- VOLUNTEER EVENT TO HELP RESTORE NATIVE KENTUCKY WOODLANDS. VOLUNTEERS HELP PLANT SEEDLINGS AT LOCATIONS ACROSS THE THREE COUNTY AREA IN NORTHERN KENTUCKY.
