PASCO HERNANDO WORKFORCE BOARD ENHANCES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS OF OUR REGION BY PROVIDING A WELL TRAINED, HIGH QUALITY WORKFORCE WHICH SUPPORTS THE SUCCESS OF LOCAL BUSINESS AND IMPROVES THE QUALITY OF LIFE. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES TRAINING AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED INDIVIDUALS AND DISPLACED WORKERS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES ACCESS AND ASSISTS INDIVIDUALS APPLYING FOR STATE AND FEDERAL ASSISTANCE.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED TRAINING AND JOB SEARCH TOOLS TO ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED INDIVIDUALS TO ASSIST THEM IN OBTAINING SOFT SKILLS AND/OR OCCUPATIONAL SKILLS NECESSARY TO BECOME GAINFULLY EMPLOYED. THESE SERVICES INCLUDED EMPLOYED WORKER TRAINING TO ENABLE LOCAL EMPLOYERS TO RETAIN QUALIFIED WORKERS. THE WIOA ADULT PROGRAM SERVED 177 DISADVANTAGED ADULTS WITH 177 INDIVIDUALS ENROLLED IN TRAINING ACTIVITIES.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED TRAINING AND JOB SEARCH TOOLS TO INDIVIDUALS RECEIVING CASH ASSISTANCE IN ORDER TO ASSIST THEM IN OBTAINING SOFT SKILLS AND BASIC EDUCATION SKILLS NEEDED TO OBTAIN EMPLOYMENT AND LEAVE THE CASH ASSISTANCE ROLES. ALSO IT PROVIDED SUPPORT AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE THROUGH THE WELFARE TRANSITION PROGRAM TO THOSE INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATING IN WORK ACTIVITIES WHILE ATTAINING WORK SKILLS. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2022, THE ORGANIZATION SERVED 1487 INDIVIDUALS IN THE WELFARE TRANSITION PROGRAM.


THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED TRAINING AND JOB SEARCH TOOLS TO DISLOCATED WORKERS WITH THE GOAL OF HELPING THESE PEOPLE QUICKLY REENTER THE WORK FORCE WITH NECESSARY SKILLS IN CRITICAL AND TARGETED JOBS. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2022 THE WIOA DISLOCATED WORKER PROGRAM SERVED 120 DISLOCATED WORKERS, WITH 120 INDIVIDUALS ENROLLED IN TRAINING ACTIVITIES.
