Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
REFUGE COFFEE'S GOAL HAS BEEN AND CONTINUES TO BE TO EDUCATE AND TRAIN NEW, LOW-INCOME REFUGEES AND IMMIGRANTS ARRIVING IN THE ATLANTA COMMUNITY. TRAINING INCLUDES BOTH ON-THE JOB AND WEEKLY CLASSROOM HOURS (WITH REGULAR CHECKPOINTS AND EVALUATIONS) COVERING THE FOLLOWING: LIFE AND WORK CULTURE IN THE US AND ATLANTA, ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE TRAINING, BARISTA TRAINING, HOSPITALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE JOB SKILLS, GED PREPARATION, AND CITIZENSHIP TEST PREPARATION. ADDITIONAL TRAINING INCLUDES SETTING PERSONAL LIFE GOALS, CAREER READINESS, AND HOW TO TAKE THE NEXT STEPS IN EDUCATION.
