WEST FLORIDA AHEC NOT ONLY STRIVES TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF THOSE IN OUR METROPOLITAN AREAS AND THE HEALTH OF THOSE IN OUR COUNTRIES' RURAL AREAS, THEY ARE ALSO CONCERNED WITH THE MEDICALLY UNDERSERVED AREAS AND HEALTH PROFESSIONAL SHORTAGE AREAS. THEREFORE WEST FLORIDA AHEC, ALONGSIDE ITS STRONG PARTNERSHIPS WITH COMMUNITY AND GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS IS ON A MISSION TO PROMOTE HEALTH AND WELLNESS IN ITS 4-COUNTY SERVICE AREA.

THE CESSATION PROGRAMS ARE LED BY TRAINED SPECIALISTS WHO GUIDE PARTICIPANTS THROUGH THE QUITTING PROCESS. THEY HELP IDENTIFY TRIGGERS AND WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS AND BRAINSTORM WAYS TO COPE WITH THEM.
