THE ORGANIZATION MADE GRANTS TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS WHICH ARE INVOLVED IN PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN OR OTHER CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES.
THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN THROUGH THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS:1. REACH YOUR POTENTIAL - A PROGRAM THAT TEACHES SOCIAL SKILLS THAT REQUIRE COOPERATION THROUGH A SERIES OF OUTDOOR ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES. STUDENTS WORK TOGETHER TO SOLVE PROBLEMS, MAKE DECISIONS AND STRETCH THEIR BOUNDARIES. 2. ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - DUE TO THE CONTINUING COVID ISSUES AND ONGOING CONCERNS REGARDING NEW VARIANTS, THE OSMAN FOUNDATION HAS SHIFTED ITS' OPERATIONS FROM K-12 ACADEMIC AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS TO A FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AT A LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. THE OSMAN FOUNDATION WORKS WITH THE FUEL UP PROGRAM AT PERRY HARRISON ELEMENTARY IN CHATHAM COUNTY, NC TO FEED 25 FAMILIES IN NEED ON A WEEKLY BASIS.3. ENRICHMENT SUMMER CAMPS - PROVIDED ONE, FIVE DAY ENRICHMENT SUMMER CAMP FOR CHATHAM COUNTY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN 5TH TO 7TH GRADES DURING THE WEEK OF JUNE 20-24, 2022. CHATHAM COUNTY SCHOOLS PARTNERED WITH THE OSMAN FOUNDATION AND PROVIDED FUNDING FOR UP TO 32 STUDENTS TO ATTEND. 4. COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS - THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, LOCAL SCHOOLS AND ORGANIZATIONS ARE SELECTED TO RECEIVE OUR SUPPORT. EXAMPLES ARE AS FOLLOWS: A SCHOOL-WIDE STEM CHALLENGE PROGRAM WAS DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED AT A MIDDLE SCHOOL. A FITNESS OBSTACLE COURSE WAS CREATED AND OPERATED AT AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. GROUPS ARE PROVIDED COMPLIMENTARY MEETING SPACE FOR THEIR GATHERINGS. PROFESSIONAL TRAINING SERVICES ARE PROVIDED FOR EDUCATORS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS.
