TREES COLUMBUS WAS FORMED TO PLANT, PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE CITY OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA'S ENVIRONMENT, ESPECIALLY TREES, URBAN FORESTS AND NATURAL SURROUNDINGS. TREES COLUMBUS IS ALSO CHARGED WITH SERVING AS AN ADVOCATE FOR OUR CITY'S ENVIRONMENT, WORKING WITH THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND CITIZENS TO CREATE A MORE LIVABLE COMMUNITY.

570 TREES PLANTED, INCLUDING 70 TREES AT FORT BENNING WITH DELTA COMPANY OCS COORDINATED VOLUNTEER TREE PLANTING AT COLUMBUS STATE UNIVERSITY IN SUPPORT OF TREE CAMPUS USA INITIATED COMMUNITY-BASED PLANNING WITH TREES COLUMBUS PARKS PROJECT AT THEO MCGEE AND LAKEBOTTOM PARKS AND ENGAGED OVER 2,800 INDIVIDUALS DRAFTED CONCEPT PLANS FOR TREE CANOPY RESTORATION AND PARK DEVELOPMENT AT THEO MCGEE AND LAKEBOTTOM PARKS HELD EARTH DAY VIRTUAL WILD & SCENIC FILM FESTIVAL WITH NATURE NOW CONDUCTED COVID-SAFE TREE WALKS AT HEATH PARK AND DINGLEWOOD PARK WITH OVER 40 ATTENDEES AT EACH WALK
