OUR RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING: COMMUNITY GARDEN AND VETERANS COMMUNITY MICRO-FARM EXPANSION GRANT $20,000 THE 1ST VETERANS COMMUNITY GARDEN FAMILY CONTAINER PLOT PROGRAM IS AN EXPANSION OF VETERANS COMMUNITY MICRO-FARM ANOTHER FIRST IN THIS COUNTRY'S SOUTHEAST REGION. THIS PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP WITH THE PALM BEACH COUNTY (PBC) LIBRARY SYSTEMS, PBC COOPERATIVE EXTENSION AND NORTH-INSTITUTE (FARM SCHOOL) EDUCATES AND PROVIDES BEGINNING GARDENERS-FAMILIES WITH THE BASICS OF GROWING THEIR OWN VEGETABLES AND HERBS IN A 25-GALLON CONTAINER OUTSIDE OF THE CHILDREN'S SECTION OF THE WEST BOCA LIBRARY. THIS CUTTING-EDGE PROJECT PROMOTES COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT WITH OUR ORGANIZATION, THE LIBRARY, THERAPEUTIC FAMILY ACTIVITY, WHOLE HEALTH NUTRITION EDUCATION AND BUILDS STRONGER CONNECTIONS WITH OTHER LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE. NEIGHBORHOOD FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM $3,500 IS A LABOR OF LOVE. COMMUNITY FAITH PICKS UP THE WEEKLY IN-KIND FOOD DONATIONS FROM PUBLIX, WAWA, PALM BEACH COUNTY FOOD BANK, WHOLE FOODS AND RESTAURANT DEPOT TO DELIVER TO DIVERSE, DISADVANTAGED FAMILIES, HOUSEBOUND SENIORS AND THOSE INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES IN THE INDIAN PINES DEVELOPMENT. THIS COMMUNITY HAS 884-HOMES FILLED WITH PEOPLE FROM THE CARIBBEAN, SOUTH AMERICA, AFRICAN AMERICAN, CAUCASIAN AND MANY OTHER COUNTRIES. COMMUNITY FAITH ALSO PROVIDE A MONTHLY IN-KIND FOOD DISTRIBUTION $60,000; WHICH INCLUDES MEAT, DIARY, FRESH PRODUCE, CAN & DRY GOODS, DRINKS, BABY FORMULA, ALONG WITH THE AFOREMENTIONED SPONSORS. WE HAVE SERVED OVER 5,000 INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND VETERANS THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH SOCIAL SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS, HUMANA INSURANCE, FAITH-BASED ENTITIES, COLLABORATIONS WITH THE FOOD INDUSTRY AND FUNDING RESOURCES.
