NC PRE-KINDERGARTEN SERVICES WERE PROVIDED IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS, HEAD START PROGRAMS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND NOT-FOR-PROFIT CHILD CARE FACILITIES TO AT-RISK FOUR YEAR OLD CHILDREN. TRANSPORTATION WAS NOT PROVIDED. 134 CHILDREN WERE SERVED.
CHILD CARE AND EDUCATION QUALITY-CHILD CARE RESOURCE AND REFERREAL PROVIDED CHILD CARE REFERRALS AND PARENT EDUCATIONAL INFORMATIONAL ARTICLES TP PARENTS. 8 CHILDCARE FACILITES PARTICIPATED IN THE PROGRAM PRIOR TO COVID-19 AND SERVICES CONTINUED TO BE PROVIDED DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. 56 PROVIDERS FROM 28 CHILDCARE FACTILITES PARTICIPATED IN THE TRAININGS. THE INITIATIVES FOR QUALITY PROVIDED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPLEMENTS TO CHILDCARE PROVIDERS TO INCREASE COMPENSATION BASED ON EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AND CONTINUITY OF SERVICE. 47 PROVIDERS RECEIVED 80 SUPPLEMENTS (ACROSS FALL AND SPRING) AND 14 PROVIDERS RECEIVED 16 EDUCATIONAL REIMBURSEMENTS.
CHILDREN AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM-ADMINISTERED AND FUNDED THROUGH THE US DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, FOOD NUTRITION SERVICES, THIS PROGRAM ENSURES THAT ELIGIBLE CHILDREN AND ADULTS WHO ATTEND QUALIFYING RESIDENTIAL AND NON-RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITIES, RECEIVE NUTRITIOUS MEALS. 120 CHILDREN WERE SERVED.
