THE MISSION OF LEADERSHIP CHARLOTTE IS TO DEVELOP AND ENHANCE VOLUNTEER COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP.

Part 3 - Line 4a
THE LEADERSHIP CHARLOTTE PROGRAM IS FOR EMERGING AND EXISTING LEADERS. IT IS THE ORGANIZATION'S FLAGSHIP PROGRAM AND IS THE BACKSTAGE PASS TO THE CHARLOTTE COMMUNITY. IT IS A TWO-PART PROGRAM, STARTING WITH TEN ONCE-A-MONTH PROGRAM DAYS IN WHICH APPROXIMATELY 60 PARTICIPANTS EXPLORE CURRENT ISSUES WITH A VARIETY OF COMMUNITY LEADERS. THE PROGRAM IS COMPLETE AFTER PARTICIPANTS SERVE ON A COMMITTEE THAT COORDINATES ONE OF THESE PROGRAM DAYS FOR THE INCOMING CLASS.
ENCOUNTER CHARLOTTE IS A TWO-DAY ORIENTATION TO CHARLOTTE AND TO COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP. THIS PROGRAM IS OPEN TO NEWCOMERS TO CHARLOTTE AND TO THOSE WHO SIMPLY WANT TO GET INVOLVED. PARTICIPANTS LEARN FIRST-HAND FROM A RANGE OF COMMUNITY LEADERS ABOUT WHAT MAKES CHARLOTTE WORK. PARTICIPANTS WILL COME AWAY WITH NEW RELATIONSHIPS, A GREATER KNOWLEDGE OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, AND SPECIFIC WAYS THEY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE COMMUNITY.
EACH YEAR, LEADERSHIP CHARLOTTE OFFERS A VARIETY OF SOCIAL EVENTS AND LEADERSHIP EVENTS, AS WELL AS AN AWARDS CEREMONY, FOR ALUMNI IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN COMMUNICATIONS WITH ONE ANOTHER AND THE COMMUNITY.
