THE LEADERSHIP CHARLOTTE PROGRAM IS FOR EMERGING AND EXISTING LEADERS. IT IS OUR FLAGSHIP PROGRAM AND IS A BACKSTAGE PASS TO THE CHARLOTTE COMMUNITY. IT IS A TWO-PART PORGRAM, STARTING WITH TEN, ONCE-A-MONTH PROGRAM DAYS WHERE APPROXIMATELY 50 PARTICIPANTS EXPLORE CURRENT ISSUES WITH A VARIETY OF COMMUNITY LEADERS. THE PROGRAM IS COMPLETE AFTER PARTICIPANTS SERVE ON A COMMITTEE THAT COORDINATES ONE OF THESE PROGRAM DAYS FOR THE INCOMING CLASS.
ENCOUNTER CHARLOTTE IS A TWO-DAY ORIENTATION TO CHARLOTTE AND TO COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP. THIS PROGRAM IS OPEN TO NEWCOMERS TO CHARLOTTE AND THOSE WHO SIMPLY WANT TO GET INVOLVED. PARTICIPANTS LEARN FIRST HAND FROM A WIDE RANGE OF COMMUNITY LEADERS ABOUT WHAT MAKES CHARLOTTE WORK. PARTICIPANTS WILL COME AWAY WITH NEW RELATIONSHIPS, A GREATER KNOWLEDGE OF OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY, AND SPECIFIC WAYS THEY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY.
EACH YEAR, LEADERSHIP CHARLOTTE OFFERS A VARIETY OF SOCIAL EVENTS, LEADERSHIP EVENTS, AND AN AWARDS CEREMONY FOR ALUMNI IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN COMMUNICATION WITH ONE ANOTHER AND THE COMMUNITY.
