THE VIRGINIA BEACH CASA PROGRAM IS A PRIVATE, NON-PRIVATE ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO ADVOCATING FOR THE BEST INTERESTS OF CHILDREN INVOLVED IN THE JUVENILE AND DOMESTIC RELATIONS DISTRICT COURT PROCESS. THE CASA PROGRAM RECRUITS, TRAINS AND SUPERVISES COMPETENT VOLUNTEERS DEDICATED TO ADVOCATING FOR THE NEEDS OF ABUSED AND NEGLECTED CHILDREN IN JUVENILE DEPENDENCY PROCEEDINGS. THE PROGRAM PROMTES SAFE, PERMANENT HOMES FOR ALL CHILDREN AND SEEKS TO EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY CONCERNING THE NEEDS OF ABUSED AND NEGLECTED CHILDREN.

Part 3 - Line 4a

TO PROVIDE ADVOCACY AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO CHILD VICTIMS OF ABUSE AND NEGLECT. CHILDREN RECEIVE ADVOCATION FOR SAFE AND PERMANANT HOMES, NECESSARY SUPPORT SERVICES, AND MONITORING OF COURT ORDERS FROM VOLUNTEER CASE WORKERS. A TOTAL OF 123 CASES WERE HANDLED IN THE 2023-2024 FISCAL YEAR WITH 6,067 HOURS OF CONTRIBUTED BY 65 C.A.S.A. VOLUNTEERS.
