FACILITATE AND PROVIDE SUPPORT NECESSARY AND ESSENTIAL FOR THE SUCCESSFUL OPERATION AND ACTIVITIES OF INTERNATIONAL AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH ORGANIZATIONS. IN THIS CAPACITY, AIARC PROVIDES CONSOLIDATED, SPECIALIZED STAFF SUPPORT THAT WOULD NOT BE ECONOMICAL AND AVAILABLE, GIVEN THE REMOTE LOCATION, FOR AN INDIVIDUAL CENTER.

SUPPORTS ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES OF 22 INTERNATIONAL AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH CENTERS AND THEIR GOVERNING COMMITTEES - INCLUDING PAYROLL, PENSIONS, INSURANCE, EMERGENCY MEDICAL EVACUATIONS, NEGOTIATED CONTRACTS, AND MANAGED BANKING, PENSION, AND SELF-INSURANCE PROGRAMS.THE ASSOCIATION'S EFFORTS ENABLED THE CENTERS TO CARRY OUT THEIR EDUCATIONAL & RESEARCH MISSIONS THROUGH ESTABLISHED CROSS-CENTER CONSISTENCY IN PERSONNEL BENEFITS PROVIDED TO THEIR STAFF. THE ASSOCIATION SERVED AS A CLEARINGHOUSE FOR CENTERS TO EXCHANGE INFORMATION RELATED TO BENEFITS.
