THRIVING SKILLS -- 6 ORPHAN-CARE ORGANIZATIONS IN COLOMBIA (4), GUATEMALA (1), AND HONDURAS (1) WERE EQUIPPED BY FLINT'S LOCAL LEADERS AND PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS WITH CURRICULUM, SKILLS, PERSONNEL, MENTORING, AND IMPLEMENTATION PROCESSES FOR PREPARING ORPHANS AND AT-RISK YOUTH FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING AND EMPLOYMENT AS THEY TRANSITION INTO ADULTHOOD AND OUT OF SYSTEMS OF CARE. WE SERVED 141 TOTAL STUDENTS WHO COMPLETED THE YEAR-LONG EDUCATION PROGRAM, AND DIRECTLY IMPACTED 328 INDIVIDUALS BY EQUIPPING ORPHAN-CARE ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE THESE PROGRAMS AND OTHER LIFE SKILLS INTERVENTIONS TO THOSE THEY SERVE.
FLINT PARTNERED WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS IN SIERRA LEONE, RWANDA, SOUTH SUDAN, UGANDA AND KENYA TO IMPLEMENT BUSINESS MINDSET TRAINING, SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE AND ENTREPRENEUR SUPPORT PROGRAMS WITH THE GOAL OF THAT PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE SUSTAINABLY INCREASE THEIR ANNUAL INCOME.
INDIA ENTREPRENEURSHIP --104 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN EDUCATION PROGRAMS IMPLEMENTED BY FLINT'S LOCAL LEADERS AND PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS RELATED TO VOCATIONAL SKILLS, PRACTICAL BUSINESS SKILLS, AND MINDSET FOR BUSINESS. THROUGH THESE EDUCATION PROGRAMS, 566 PEOPLE WERE IMPACTED BY NEW SKILLS, CONNECTIONS, AND COACHING LEADING TO INCREASED INCOME AND BUSINESS GROWTH, HELPING PARTICIPANTS PROVIDE SUSTAINABLE INCOME FOR THEIR FAMILIES. WE ALSO FACILITATED A REVOLVING LOAN FUND TO HELP PARTICIPANTS DEVELOP THEIR OWN BUSINESSES.
TANZANIA ENTREPRENEURSHIP -- 4,310 PEOPLE WERE IMPACTED AS 862 STUDENTS WERE EQUIPPED WITH NEW SKILLS, CONNECTIONS, AND INCOME SOURCES RESULTING FROM FLINT'S PRACTICAL BUSINESS SKILLS WORKSHOPS, MINDSET WORKSHOPS, VILLAGE SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION COORDINATION, AND BUSINESS COACHING. THIS WORK WAS FACILITATED BY FLINT'S LOCAL TANZANIA IMPLEMENTING PARTNERS WITH ADDITIONAL COORDINATION, OVERSIGHT, TRAINING, COACHING, AND MONITORING AND EVALUATION PROVIDED BY FLINT'S U.S.-BASED TEAM.
