RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: THIS PROGRAM SEEKS TO (1) DEVELOP AND DIFFUSE TECHNOLOGIES THAT ADDRESS NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT ISSUES AND PROMOTE ADVANCEMENT OF SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL INTENSIFICATION; (2) CONDUCT EVIDENCE-BASED POLICY ANALYSES TO SUPPORT REFORM PROCESSES IN MULTIPLE DIMENSIONS OF ECONOMIC POLICY: AND (3) WORK TO ENSURE THAT IFDC CAPTURES, DOCUMENTS, ANALYZES, AND DISSEMINATES THE KNOWLEDGE GENERATED FROM ALL OF IFDC'S WORK ON INCREASED AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTIVITY.


FIELD PROJECTS: THIS PROGRAM AIMS TO INCREASE THE PRODUCTIVITY AND PROFITABILITY OF SMALLHOLDER AGRICULTURE THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF COMPETITIVE AND SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL VALUE CHAINS AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL STABILITY IN VARIOUS REGIONS OF THE WORLD.


CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM - THE CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM AIMS TO EQUIP IFDC PARTNERS (FARMERS, DEALERS, MARKETERS, ENTREPRENEURS) IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES WITH THE CAPABILITIES, EXPERTISE AND SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THEIR FUNCTIONS IN THE FOOD VALUE CHAIN IN AN EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT MANNER.
