SPECIAL PROJECTS: VPC'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS SELECT VARIOUS INITIATIVES EACH YEAR TO ADDRESS KEY ISSUES AND CONCERNS. EACH SPECIAL PROJECT HAS A BOARD SPONSOR WHO COORDINATES THE FUNDRAISING AND THE EFFORTS INVOLVED IN THE PROJECT. THIS PROGRAM INCLUDES ANY SPECIAL STUDIES CONDUCTED BY VPC.
LAND USE PLANNING: THIS PROGRAM ENCOURAGES MONITORING DEVELOPMENT PLANS SUBMITTED TO THE COUNTY BY PRIVATE DEVELOPERS; ATTENDING DEVELOPMENT PLAN REVIEW MEETINGS AND HEARINGS; PARTICIPATING IN GOVERNMENT SPONSORED MEETINGS FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS AND POLICY INITIATIVES; INFORMING MEMBERS AND AFFECTED LANDOWNERS OF PERTINENT PROPOSALS AND ISSUES; AND ANALYSIS OF OVERALL ACTIVITIES AND TRENDS AFFECTING LAND USE IN BALTIMORE COUNTY.
