The goal of this organization are the residential facilities for older adults who are unable to function in an independent living environment because they need assistance with toileting, bathing, dressing, medication, meals and housekeeping and other activities of daily living, but do not require nursing care on a regular basis.

THE GENERAL GERMAN AGED PEOPLE'S HOME OF BALTIMORE IS A MARYLAND NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT OPERATES A CONTINUING CARE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY FOR THE ELDERLY ("EDENWALD"), WHICH WAS OPENED FOR OCCUPANCY IN SEPTEMBER 1985, AND PROVIDES SERVICES THROUGH A COMBINATION OF APARTMENTS, ASSISTED LIVING AND COMPREHENSIVE CARE ACCOMMODATIONS. EDENWALD PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO RESIDENTS WHO ARE NOT ABLE TO PAY THEIR MONTHLY FEES. IN 2023, EDENWALD PROVIDED ASSISTANCE OF $267,488 TO 7 RESIDENTS OF THE FACILITY.
