THE PURPOSE IS THE SERVING CITIZENRY OF THE NATION BY PROMOTING A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE OBJECTIVES, ACCOMPLISHMENTS, AND NEEDS OF THE SCHOOLS OF THE UNITED STATES. THE ASSOCIATION ACCOMPLISHES ITS PURPOSES: (1) BY DEVELOPING MATERIALS THAT ASSIST THE SCHOOLS OF THE NATION IN BUILDING BOTH AN INCREASED PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF THE ROLE OF EDUCATION AND AN INCREASED AWARENESS, KNOWLEDGE, AND UNDERSTANDING OF CURRENT MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AND EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENTS; (2) BY PLACING BEFORE THE PUBLIC FACTS AND VIEWPOINTS WHICH WILL LEAD TO A BETTER UNDERSTANDING, APPRECIATION, AND SUPPORT OF THEIR SCHOOLS; AND (3) BY ENCOURAGING THE USE OF SOUND PUBLIC RELATIONS PROCEDURES BY ALL THOSE AT WORK IN THE SCHOOLS OF THE UNITED STATES.

CONFERENCES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, NSPRA SUPPORTS CONFERENCES ON VARIOUS TOPICS OF INTEREST TO THOSE IN SCHOOL PUBLIC RELATIONS AND OTHER RELATED FIELDS. CONFERENCE REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR A FEE TO MEMBERS AS WELL AS THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
NSPRA AFFAIRS SUPPORTS THE FUNCTION OF NSPRA'S LEADERSHIP SUCH AS BOARD OF DIRECTORS, SPECIAL COMMITTEE MEETINGS AND OTHER ADVISORY GROUPS. THIS ALSO INCLUDES NSPRA'S RELATIONS WITH AFFILIATES, THE GOVERNMENT AND OTHER GROUPS WITH SIMILAR INTERESTS. BENEFITS DERIVED FROM THIS ACTIVITY EXTEND TO THE MEMBERSHIP THROUGH A BETTERMENT OF NSPRA.
MEMBERSHIP SERVICES PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR NSPRA MEMBERS THROUGH EVALUATION SERVICES, NEW PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND SPECIAL NEWSLETTERS AND PUBLICATIONS WHICH ARE AVAILABLE TO NSPRA MEMBERS THROUGH THE BASIC MEMBERSHIP FEE AND ARE HELD FOR SALE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
