PROFESSIONAL MEETINGS AND SEMINARS - NCTE PRODUCES BOTH IN-PERSON AND ONLINE EVENTS TO SUPPORT SCHOLARSHIP IN LITERACY, COMPOSITION, AND LANGUAGE STUDIES. NOTABLY, ALL PROFESSIONAL MEETINGS AND SEMINARS MOVED TO VIRTUAL MODELS DURING THE PANDEMIC. NCTE ALSO CONTINUED OFFERING ONLINE PROGRAMMING AS PART OF ITS REPERTOIRE. THE LARGEST PROFESSIONAL MEETING IS THE NCTE ANNUAL CONVENTION AND THE SECOND LARGEST IS THE CONFERENCE ON COLLEGE COMPOSITION AND COMMUNICATION. ALL NCTE EVENTS WERE WELL RECEIVED AND PROVIDED BEACONS OF LEADERSHIP DURING UNPRECEDENTED TIMES. ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION WERE STRONG, VERIFYING THE IMPORTANT OPPORTUNITIES THEY PROVIDE TO TEACHERS AND RESEARCHERS.

OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ACTIVITIES TO FURTHER THE ORGANIZATION'S EXEMPT PURPOSE.

THROUGH TEN PEER-REVIEWED JOURNALS AND ONE QUARTERLY MAGAZINE, NCTE RELEASED 48 ISSUES COVERING A RANGE OF CRITICAL ISSUES IN LITERACY EDUCATION FROM EARLY LITERACY ACQUISITION PRACTICES, THROUGH ENGAGEMENT OF ADOLESCENT LITERACY LEARNERS, TO IN-DEPTH ANALYSES OF PUBLIC LANGUAGE, LITERATURE, AND WRITING.
