THE MISSION OF THE VIRGINIA EDUCATION ASSOCIATION IS TO UNITE OUR MEMBERS AND LOCAL COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE COMMONWEALTH IN FULFILLING THE PROMISE OF A HIGH QUALITY PUBLIC EDUCATION THAT SUCCESSFULLY PREPARES EVERY SINGLE STUDENT TO REALIZE HIS OR HER FULL POTENTIAL. WE BELIEVE THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY ADVOCATING FOR STUDENTS, EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS, AND SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS.

FIELD SERVICES: ASSISTS LOCAL ASSOCIATIONS IN DEVELOPING ACTION PLANS ON ISSUES, PROMOTES MEMBERSHIP GROWTH WITHIN THE STATE BY WORKING WITH THE NEA AND LOCAL ASSOCIATIONS, REPRESENTS MEMBERS IN MEETINGS WITH SCHOOL ADMINSTRATION.
GOVERNMENT RELATIONS: RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERALL SUPPORT AND EXECUTION OF VEA PROGRAMS PERTAINING TO LEGISLATIVE ACTION.
TEACHING AND LEARNING: HELPS IMPROVE THE INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM THROUGH THE COMMITMENT OF THE ASSOCIATION TO PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE.
