THE CHILDREN'S ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH NETWORK IS A NATIONAL MULTI-DISCIPLINARY ORGANIZATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO PROTECT THE DEVELOPING CHILD FROM ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS AND PROMOTE A HEALTHIER ENVIRONMENT.

SUPPORTING THE USE AND TRANSLATION OF PEER-REVIEWED SCIENCE. PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOUND PUBLIC HEALTH AND CHILD-FOCUSED NATIONAL POLICY. PROGRAM SUPPORT FOR CEHN TO ENCOURAGE AND PROMOTE PROTECTIVE POLICIES THAT CONSIDER THE VULNERABILITIES THAT CHILDREN CAN HAVE TO ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS. POLICY ANALYSIS, PUBLIC COMMENTS, TESTIMONIES, EDUCATION EFFORTS DIRECTED TO KEY PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS AND DECISION-MAKERS.
ELEVATE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS TO CHILDREN. GENERAL SUPPORT OF CEHN'S OVERALL MISSION TO PROMOTE SAFE AND HEALTHY ENVIRONMENTS FOR CHILDREN. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES AND ACTIVITIES TO BUILD GENERAL AWARENESS AROUND CEHN'S MISSION. THROUGH THE USE OF PEER-REVIEWED SCIENCE, CEHN'S WORK ELEVATES PUBLIC AWARENESS OF ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS TO CHILDREN. EFFORTS ALSO INCLUDE STAFF PREPARATION AND DELIVERY OF TRAININGS FOR A WIDE VARIETY OF STAKEHOLDERS, PRESENTATIONS AT CONFERENCES AND WORKSHOPS, AND PARTICIPATION IN PARTNER COALITIONS AND ADVISORY BOARDS.
EDUCATE HEALTH PROFESSIONALS, CHILD CARE PROFESSIONALS, AND DECISION-MAKERS REGARDING PREVENTATIVE STRATEGIES FOR EFFECTIVELY REDUCING AND / OR ELIMINATING KEY ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS THAT IMPACT THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF CHILDREN. TRAINING NEW INFLUENTIAL ADVOCATES IN THE FIELD TO PROMOTE CEHN'S MISSION AND GOALS. WORK INCLUDED THE PREPARATION AND DISSEMINATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TRAINING MATERIALS FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS.
