RYAN WHITE PART A SERVICES ENSURES THAT CORE MEDICAL AND SUPPORT SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE FOR PEOPLE IN OUR METROPOLITAN AREA LIVING WITH HIV. PROGRAM SERVICES PROVIDED UNDER THIS GRANT INCLUDE: EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES (LINKAGE TO CARE), MEDICAL CASE MANAGEMENT, PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT, TRANSPORTATION, HEALTH INSURANCE ASSISTANCE, OUTPATIENT AMBULATORY, HEALTH INSURANCE PREMIUM AND NON-MEDICAL CASE MANAGEMENT. THIS YEAR, 242 UNIQUE CUSTOMERS WERE SUPPORTED THROUGH 6,422 SERVICE INTERACTIONS ACROSS PROGRAM AREAS.
HEART TO HANDS MEDICAL PRACTICE SUPPORTS PATIENTS LIVING WITH HIV AND RELATED CONDITIONS. THE MEDICAL PRACTICE IS FUNDED BY GRANTS, INSURANCE PAYMENTS AND THE 340B DRUG PROGRAM, A FEDERAL PROGRAM WAS ESTABLISHED TO SUPPLEMENT RYAN WHITE FUNDED PROGRAMS IN ORDER TO EXPAND SERVICES.
CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION PROVIDES EXPRESS STI/HIV TESTING, TREATMENT AND LINKAGES TO PREVENTTION SERVICES TO PRINCE GEORGES AND MONTGOMERY COUNTY RESIDENTS, SPECIFICALLY FOR HETEROSEXUAL, BLACK INDIVIDUALS AGES 18-49. APPROXIMATELY 260 PEOPLE IN THE PROGRAM WERE PROVIDED NUMEROUS SERVICES TO TREATMENT, PREP, HIV TREATMENT, AND OTHER SUPPORTIVE SERVICES
