THURMONT MINISTERIUM INC IS DEDICATED TO SERVING THE SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL NEEDS OF THE NORTHERN FREDERICK COUNTY, MD COMMUNITY INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PROVIDING FOOD, MEDICAL CARE AND/OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR DAILY LIVING REQUIREMENTS.

Part 3
FOOD DISTRIBUTION TO AREA RESIDENTS IS THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF THE THURMONT MINISTERIUM. DONATIONS ARE PROVIDED BY INDIVIDUALS, CHURCHES, GROCERY STORES, SCOUTS AND NUMEROUS OTHER ORGANIZATIONS. IN ADDITION, DISTRIBUTIONS ARE MADE OF DIRECTLY PURCHASED GROCERIES FROM MONETARY OR GIFT CARD DONATIONS. OVER 300 FAMILIES ARE SERVED INCLUDING 1,400-1,600 INDIVIDUALS.
MEDICAL EMERGENCY OR CATASTROPHIC MEDICAL EXPENSES FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS, INCLUDING PHARMACY, DOCTOR, DENTIST AND HOSPITAL BILLS. ASSISTANCE FOR MEDICAL RELATED TRANSPORTATION IS ALSO INCLUDED.
GENERAL AND BASIC LIVING SUPPORT EXPENSES FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS' EMERGENCY NEEDS INCLUDING SUCH ITEMS AS HOUSING AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE.
