PUBLIC POLICY: TO SHAPE ITS AMERICA'S LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES AND SUPPORT ASSOCIATION EFFORTS TO ACHIEVE ITS PRIORITIES THROUGH EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY. THE PUBLIC POLICY DEPARTMENT ADDRESSES FOUNDATIONAL ISSUES SUCH AS FUNDING FOR TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT, SMART CITIES TRANSPORTATION INITIATIVES, BROAD RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT AND LARGER PROGRAMS ADDRESSING INNOVATION. THE PUBLIC POLICY DEPARTMENT ALSO ADDRESSES THE BUSINESS CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES AS A PART OF LARGER INITIATIVES.
TECHNICAL PROGRAMS: ITS AMERICA SUPPORTS THE FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION, OTHER ORGANIZATIONS, AND THE TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRY BY PROVIDING RESEARCH AND INDUSTRY UPDATES.
