THE ALLIANCE'S MISSION IS TO STRENGTHEN AND PROMOTE INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMS.

TO SUPPORT ITS MISSION, THE ALLIANCE ENGAGES IN ADVOCACY, PROVIDES MEMBER DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES, AND BUILDS PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE POWER OF EXCHANGE. ALLIANCE ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR INCLUDE THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE, ADVOCACY DAY, AND INDIVIDUAL MEMBER PRODUCTS. THE CONFERENCE PROVIDES THE MEMBERSHIP WITH CURRENT INFORMATION ON INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE ACTIVITIES IN TERMS OF U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE REGULATIONS, AS WELL AS THE CURRENT ISSUES IN THE FIELD. ADVOCACY DAY PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE MEMBERSHIP TO TRAVEL TO WASHINGTON, D.C., RECEIVE AN ADVOCACY TRAINING, AND PARTICIPATE IN MEETINGS ON CAPITOL HILL WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO SHOWCASE THE POWER OF EXCHANGES. ADDITIONALLY, THE ALLIANCE WORKS WITH THE MEMBERSHIP IN SEPARATE WORKING GROUPS TO PRODUCE AREA-SPECIFIC PRODUCTS, SUCH AS REPORTS ON CERTAIN PROGRAMS WHICH ARE ACCESSIBLE ON THE ALLIANCE WEBSITE.
